How a continuous band sealer works
The filled pouch rides a conveyor through heated bands, and the mouth comes out sealed.
- 1
Fill the pouch
Fill the pouch or bag by hand or with a separate filler, and straighten the open end.
- 2
Place on the conveyor
The operator lays the pouch on the conveyor with its mouth at the sealing point.
- 3
Mouth is heated
The mouth passes between two heated bands that melt the film surfaces together.
- 4
Seal is cooled and pressed
Cooling and pressing rollers set the seal so it is flat and strong.
- 5
Pack is coded and exits
The bag can be printed with batch and date, then leaves the machine sealed.
Sealing machine types
Different products and volumes need different sealers. Available models vary, so tell us what you pack.

Sealing machine questions
What is a sealing machine?
A sealing machine closes the open end of a filled pouch or bag with heat, so the product stays fresh and protected. It is used after the product is filled by hand or by a separate filler.
What is a continuous band sealer?
It carries the bag on a conveyor through heated bands that seal the mouth. It is fast and suits steady, high-volume work. Many models can also print batch number and date as the bag passes through.
When should I choose an impulse sealer?
An impulse sealer suits low-volume work and thin films. You press the bar down by hand or foot, and a short pulse of heat makes the seal. It is simple and economical.
What films and pouches can it seal?
Heat-sealable films such as polyethylene and many laminates can be sealed. Film thickness and type decide which sealer works best, so share your pouch details with us.
Do I need a sealer if I have a VFFS or pouch packing machine?
No, those machines seal the pack themselves. A separate sealer is useful for products packed by hand, for small batches, for bulk bags and for packs that need a second seal.
Can the sealer print the batch number and date?
Yes. Many band sealers can be fitted with a coding unit, so each bag carries the batch number, date and price.
Do you install and train?
Yes. We install and test the machine with your pouches, train your operators, supply genuine spares and offer service and AMC.
